Hearts for RMHC was one of Scott Green’s (The Bearded Runner) favorite races, and I learned today that he was the one and only ambassador for the event each year. I hadn’t done it before as it seemed to fall on a different weekend. Tons of run friends again, everybody making the same card puns… Here’s something fun. I never had a plan to wear this costume in the first place. It was a relatively inexpensive tunic to form what I thought would be a base layer for what became the concert ticket for last year’s Tiblow Trot. Turns out Mama Cosplay Runner was even more adept with her sewing machine than I believed, and she didn’t need the card underneath. So, it sat unused and sad-like. Until a race came along that had “Hearts” in the name, and a match was made in creativity paradise. I kicked myself afterwards (not literally) that I didn’t include Party Rock Anthem in the playlist (“… Every day I’m shufflin’, shufflin’, shufflin'”). And just a reminder for races where the path is a bit narrow. Stay to the right, pass on the left.
