Different venue for this race, but familiar course from several Oktoberfest 5Ks. Very glad the gale-force winds from yesterday died down, since I carried a small sail with me. I like the races where lots of other people dress up also, but you know that means I step it up even more. As I am sometimes known to do, this is a re-wear, but it was a fair bit of work last year. That’s why I was 100% good with entering – and winning – the costume contest. This time it came with a gift card to The Running Well Store! As soon as we could punch through onto 135th, it was off to the second race of the day. More on that soon!
Lots of pieces to create the Lucky character, plus Pop! foam on the Cricut for the charms. Also, a last minute DIY set of shoe buckles when I failed to find the ones I got last year.
