One of my favorite races and courses, along with over 2,000 others today. Sadly, this exact course will not survive the opening of the streetcar extension by next year, so we’ll see where we go instead. Too bad down by Brush Creek probably isn’t a safe option for so many. There was no confusion on the character, and I loved hearing/seeing many singing along. Props to the gal who sand “One Moment in Time” with me the whole way through! Bittersweet memories also of our friend Scott who in recent years found his way along Brush Creek Blvd to cheer and take photos. His dear friend rocked a shirt that said ✔︎ur: (get it?) As always, so amazing to hang out with my run framily. Nothing a sweaty post-race hug to promote oxytocin bonding. One constructive criticism: match the number of bananas fairly close to the number of registrants. And please let’s each only take one. This event and Garmin KC have run out in recent years long before all the finishers got one.
The most attention-grabbing costume piece, as always, is my Denim Dan print Kapow Meggings
