Day 1 of a 3-day heat warning, but got this done before the temps really got up there. This was one of my earlier purchases in 2020 and it’s been on 2 solo runs, but it made its race debut today. As such, many accolades were to be had. I managed to get in 20+ minutes before start time, and did the last almost-1-mile at a little faster pace as the plan progression called for. Was it easy? Heavens, no! But it made the dip in the lake afterwards all the more refreshing. Great to see the run companions there in force, although I missed the group tintype as I often do. I might have leapt up and rushed over, but I caught my knee on the bench and managed only a limp.
