Week 186, race #1, September 30: Capts. Lewis and Clark didn’t have “cooled air,” I’ll live (Weston Bluffs Trail 10K)

My goodness, that was a hot one. Coming in right at 90º at race time of 4 PM, I have to assume that’s my hottest race ever. Thankful for a mostly shaded trail and a good run friend to stick with me until the 5K turnaround. The fabric is thinner than it might appear, but there was still heat being trapped (pun intended). I wish I could have brought my phone on the course to snap a few shots from the trail, because the Mighty MO looked spectacular through the trees. Alas, copious sweat and touch screens will never be friends.

Audio CD (don’t get the streaming version, it’s completely different)
