This one was brutal. Apparently this ensemble causes temps in the teens and windchill in the single digits – I’m 2 for 2 so far. I got to the start area early, put my name in the door prize bin (I never win), posed with the run club for a photo, then went straight back to my car to keep warm. I also forgot to check the battery on my speaker, so it only lasted about 3 songs before it conked. Add in having to wear my glasses because of an infection, and it was a frustrating morning. I was able to slog through my remaining mileage on the hotel treadmill instead of staying out in the cold and icy sidewalks. Here’s to something warmer next time.
