It looks simple, but it was a difficult one to run in. While I could get a small amount of water through the mesh, seeing well enough to run was not happening without some holes. The sunglasses gave it kind of a “Hollow Man” feel but oh well. Kyle from the Back of the Pack podcast saw me in my unmentionables (base layer) waiting for the port-a-potty and said, “I don’t get this costume…?” I told him it was like Sandy’s pants at the end of “Grease”- once I’m zipped up, I can’t get out easily. Some technical difficulties with a belt that wouldn’t tighten caused me to carry the speaker the whole way, but I eventually got the phone inside without dropping it. By far my favorite comment: a gal called out, “Is that the cosplay runner?” after I passed her. When I gave a thumbs-up, she let out the biggest “squeeee” I’ve ever heard. And again, my work here is done.
