Week 232, August 31: Had fun, fun, fun but almost did some mud surfing (solo)

A fun solo run to fill in on a race-free weekend. It was a bit nice to sleep in and get there when I got there. I think the humidity would have soaked me no matter what. I missed my turn on Ward Parkway south of Brush Creek, but I was able to approximate the same shape through the Plaza. I did this costume once before, when the Sunglasses Run was at Bluhawk, but this is longer and I put it in chronological order by initial track release. If you’re running anywhere around the Plaza District or Brookside, “flat” is a theoretical concept with no real-world application. Also, mud surfing is when you hit a patch of sidewalk mud, often from recent rain and/or poor yard drainage, and slide when you didn’t know you were. I’ve done it a few times on the Ward Parkway side of this route, but managed to stay solid today.

Mostly Amazon finds but do you recognize the shades from the Liberty Half Marathon/Jewell 5K a few years ago?
