Only the second race-free weekend since the first weekend in March; the last one was also moving weekend so I was a zombie for many days after that. It was a simple enough costume, and the route was meant to hit as many KCMO parks with picnic areas as I could. I had to skip one as the hills of Midtown took their toll. As the saying goes, “Into every life a little rain must fall,” and a LOT of rain fell on this picnic. Great fun was had, anyway, and this one will show up at a race near you. Someday.
