This one has been in planning since summer 2020, but I tabled it when last October’s KC marathon event went virtual. The wait, and the work, paid off. It turned out really well. Multiple people who follow on Strava said it was my best costume ever. Only one person called me “Aquaman,” I got lots of fist bumps including with one of the faster full marathoners (well, his fist, my trident), and it was the first time I got to pose with the inspiration for an epic outfit. Actual comment from a guy in the starting corral: “The ancient gods are among us!”
