Week 214, race #1, April 27: I’m in a Sunflower State of mind (TopCity half marathon)

My second-fastest time running this course; also my slowest (I’ve done it exactly twice). It’s a fun course, but one crucially-placed port-a-loo disappeared on Mile 3. Lots of volunteer and spectator support for a moderate town size. Gol-durn hill on the last mile, but that’s when the sun FINALLY came out. I had no idea which direction to face the first 12 miles of soupy, muggy overcast! I leapfrogged with a couple of run buds, both of whom set PRs and/or CRs. A fun race again, but I wish the aid stations would be more evenly spaced and have guaranteed restrooms on the course.
