Sometimes an idea comes to you and you just have to chase it all the way. I was participating in a service project at my church yesterday morning and telling a friend about this costume. It struck me that when preschool kids make the “hand turkey,” they often say what they’re thankful for on the feathers. A trip to Joann for some Cricut vinyl (and goodies for another project coming soon), finding the perfect font, weeding, and a quick iron-on, and this thing was ready for action. A couple people said they wished I was doing the full marathon so they could listen to my music more. Except… I forgot to charge the speaker overnight, so it conked at about mile 11. Not to worry, I listened to the rest on the drive home. Got some great pics, especially by run friends. The out and back for much of the later miles meant seeing almost everybody else, which is always fun.
