I was so pumped (
) to do a race in this one. And not just easy/training pace, but a 5K effort. With caveats. Relatively warm (not brutal yet), 101% humidity, and locking my arms into crazy strange biomechanics. All that said, it was a super fun race. Sorry to anybody who wanted a pic with me afterwards, but that plastic and cotton had to come off ASAP. I was glad as always to see my run friends, but this time my wife’s longtime friend joined her in spectating, and even came bearing a huge cinnamon roll. Friends make life better!
