Owwwwww. This one started well enough. I was of course pleased with my attaching skills with that assortment of repurposed recycling. The egg carton came off pretty quick, but I was fine with it since it was bouncing against my face. Then somewhere on an innocent-looking suburban OPKS sidewalk during mile 5, I took a tumble, logo first. (Along with all but 2-3 pieces of recycling.) No ankle twist, no dislocation, and some scrapes and bruises, so after a few minutes screaming at nobody, I kept going. The adrenaline wore off at 8 miles, so I skipped the fast-finish miles. I’m hoping I can still do Accept Zero 5K in the morning. We’ll see how an epsom salt soak does on the road rash.
