This one has been on my wish list almost since the start of the KC Cosplay Runner brand. I browsed costumes on HalloweenCostumes.com (the premiere source for my stuff) and immediately connected “turned to stone” with an Electric Light Orchestra playlist. Oh, ELO, that glorious collision of symphonic/progressive rock with disco and even a dash of rockabilly. Baby Groot isn’t the only one who can jam. That wrench-bang 4-beat in Mr. Blue Sky? 
I lost actual sleep last night fretting that the course would be icy, but let me tell you. Groomed to absolute perfection. Now, the hills are another story. If you’re running in Shawnee Mission Park, you’re running hills. The 10% that seems flat? Surprise! You were going downhill, now it’s uphill to get back! I saw a handful of my run fam, including several that saw us off and then did their own long run. BTW, that is a mask, but most of the time it was on top of my head. It didn’t have any holes to breathe through. Next week, the Groundhog Run Tunnel-to-Tunnel. See you in the caves!
