A simple, easy costume and run after so many weeks of travel, injury, and over-the-top-ness. I again picked a route to tour midtown’s inclusivity. Starting near the Kansas City Center for Inclusion, by Sidekicks and Spirit of Hope MCC, by Woody’s (the first “Happy Pride” shoutout of the day), Hamburger Mary’s, and across from Missie B’s. On 39th I was asked what time the parade started, but it was still over 2 hours to go. I headed through Westport, was told my outfit was gorgeous, and saw the early staging for the actual parade, then finished along the parade route itself on Broadway and Cleaver.
