The race that started it all! From a modest, almost underwhelming ‘fit in 2013 to the first race to go virtual in 2020, the Westport St. Patrick’s Day Run holds a permanent spot for me. It’s also why I finally got myself to be on TV…? Seriously, it helps to know people who know people. The race itself felt a little smaller than usual? It had actually dropped temp since the earlier race, and the wind sliced right through that polyester shirt. And of course, the quick down-and-up at the north end of the course never gets any less steep. And you’ll never guess the idea I had while I was running?! Well, I won’t spoil it, but I came up with next year’s costume for this race. The hopper never runs out!
