Finally got this costume across a finish line after the 2020 race went virtual (pics here). But this wasn’t just any finish line. In 2012 I fell at 0.25 miles and twisted my foot hard enough to break my heel bone, plus a cracked radius for good measure. Ever since, this race has eluded me until today. This turkey is still thawing, but it was amazing to see so many families and fitness enthusiasts out having a great time. I stopped counting photos I was asked for after about 6.
