Well, third time’s the charm and how about this for the bicentennial? I got this last year and had to postpone when I was sick that weekend. I tried yesterday and quickly verified that whole “elevated surfaces freeze first” phenomenon. They also melt last, so the attempt then lasted only 5 minutes. Today it finally happened. The costume itself turned out to be too small, as in made for someone well under 6′. It was a safety pin keeping the back from coming apart completely, not the velcro. Big thanks to the Johnson County Park police officer that helped me by putting me back in after a super-needed pit stop. I also saw a longtime friend that lives close to one of the connected trails. I hope next week’s event happens, because we’ve got at least 2 snow “events” with many inches of snow possible before next Saturday.
