The weather was more Seattle than Sacramento, but the Sunglasses Run 5K was a blast! Ran next to the run club coach from Ozanam for a bit and chatted afterward. A guy that well could have been an original member of the the Beach Boys told me as I approached the finish line, “Keep the shirt, keep the music!” Just before the exit to Bluhawk, we accidentally sped up a bit too much and got pulled over by a cop in a white-camo car. He let us off with a warning; turns out he, too, was headed to the race!
