It was a touch warm still for long pants and baseball sleeves, but another smashing debut. An inaugural 5K (ish) at Worlds of Fun, where I did a random 5K years ago, probably the same course. The parking lot is better than the service roads, and inside the park a little better still, but it’s kind of an unforgiving surface throughout, plus plenty of quick bonus hills that serve no real point. That aside, a great event. The “Just Us League” had several (mostly MCU) characters, plus I snagged a photo with Snoopy before his handler whisked him away. Anybody who called me by a name got it right – Eddie Munson, the hero we didn’t deserve and never knew we needed from Stranger Things Season 4. One gal at the check-in table was so excited to see my character that she let a balloon get away.
